Balance Test Critical Value
The Balance Test Critical Value is a value that Sigmafine applies to check normalized balance errors (normalized balance errors should not exceed this value). If there is a high degree of redundancy, the value is 1.0 (the value increases as the redundancy decreases). So, a high normalized balance error does not necessarily indicate a data problem if the redundancy is low.
The Balance Test Critical Value is calculated using the equation:
Where:
ArcErf = inverse normal error distribution function
ZT = confidence set in the Reconciliation Options window. The default is 0.95.
balerr = number of measurement balance points in the Model or part of the Model being reconciled
T = number of standard deviations for the instrument tolerance. The default value of 2 is set using the Tolerance box in the Reconciliation Options window.
